The Bible talks a lot about the sin of idolatry. In fact, it's so abhorrent to God that it breaks His heart.
The most famous account of blatant idolatry dates back to the days of Moses. I'm sure you know the story of the golden calf. When Moses came down from the mountain in Exodus chapter 32 he found them worshiping a golden calf instead of Almighty God.
While we may not have golden calves in our homes today, there are many other items in our lives that can be considered idols.
The truth is, we are guilty of idolatry when we place other things higher on our priority list than we place the Lord. Idolatry is an abomination to God and the topic can be found throughout the Bible.
In this video we look at specific verses in the Bible that speak of idolatry and discuss how the Lord feels about it and how He ends up judging His people because of their behavior in regards to idolatry.
We also go through things that are or potentially may become idols in our lives. The Bible warns us of the sin of idolatry and if we are not careful, we could fall right into its trap.
Perhaps there are things in your life that you do not consider idols, but have earned "idol status" without you even knowing it.
